“Will you consider including synchronous tools in your future EFL classroom in Saudi Arabia? Will there be any drawbacks?”

I think in my EFL classes I will use synchronous tools because they are so helpful and useful for both students and teacher. Chat and instant massaging  are some of the tools that offer direct contact and a lot of sharing information, they are so quick and less complex. Other examples are the audio conferences and application sharing which I think should be use a side to each other. They cost a lot and depend on the international  participants. Also, web conferencing offer sharing information and presentations but to be useful it need audio conferencing. These tools and some more are costing a lot of money but they help in teaching and learning process. I think we should use them in our classes because we want a better learning to our students. Some of the drawbacks that I expect to face is the financial problems and the digital immigrant wonders why we should use these technologies while we had learned without them. I hope I could use these tools in my future classes without having problems.

How would I use blogs, wikis and delicious with my EFL students

I think that we should use technology in our classes with EFL students for example; using blogger posts to test student's skills in writing and  grammar. Teacher asks the students to write a paragraph as short story or description of an event to measure their ability in writing, and the group's members comment and correct the mistakes of their friends' posts.
By using delicious also, teacher can give the students hyper links to go over and also to share with other some links that useful for the class work . for example, a web site offers  activities that help students in learning vocabulary such as  giving them multiple choices with sentences to choose the correct word.
By using wiki teacher and students can create a data pace for the group works such as projects and creating lessons such as vocabulary and grammar activities.

"Application of Bax Normilasation in Saudi Arabia: The how!"

Stephan Bax argues that, "Our aim should be to attain a state of `normalisation' in which the technology is invisible and truly integrated"
He suggested that we should give attention to the other fields that led to successful CAAL such as  technology, software teacher and learners' attitudes.
He added that CALL must take an account in studying these factors and take us - as profession-  to the right view about the language that computers alone are not enough for teaching .
He encouraged the ethnographic analysis studying for better understanding to the CALL.
He added that we have to make some useful researches into integration. Such researches can clear the factors that hinder the normalization of CALL.

In our Saudi context, it's possible to make such changes in CLT with the help of CALL. we can imagine our students using technology in their classrooms with laptops, multimedia and other sources  of technology.
I think technology nowadays  is available every where and for every one, so why don't we include it in teaching fields!
Some  Saudi schools are using technology but they do'non relay on it completely. I believe that one day our learning will depend on CALL.
